Sunday Times

We had a really late night last night! We went to a friend's (from church) birthday party and didn't head home until 10:30! Serena came along and she did so well! I was a little worried about 'crashing' the party with our 1-yr-old when all the other guests (16 people total) were adults (except there was a 4-week-old baby too, but she pretty much slept the whole time), but I didn't have to be worried. Serena was fun to have around! She played with their dog (a Lab mix) a lot, played with the toys we brought for her, let people hold her, and was just all-around a good sport! :) She fell asleep so quickly when we got in the truck to go home!

I wondered if today would be rough because of her losing 3 hours of sleep, but she showed no signs of crankiness. Hope that doesn't mean it's going to catch up with us tomorrow, haha! We had a great day having Daddy home with us all day!

All dolled up for church

Daddy fell asleep during Serena's nap. When Serena got up, she played for a little while and then she noticed Daddy was laying on the couch. She laughed and played with his feet (which were dangling off the end) a little bit, and then she climbed up next to him. Of course, the dogs were right behind her. I knew that if I tried to get all 3 of them to leave him alone it would be more disruptive of his nap than if I just let them be. It was inevitable that he was going to be awakened! So, instead of pulling them away, I grabbed the camera, heehee! ;)

"Hmmm...which book should I read?"

Enjoying a chat with Uncle Luke. This was right before she hung up on him, haha!

It was a gorgeous day in the 60's! We took advantage of the lovely weather and went to the park.
